Forgot Password

Introduction

If you’ve forgotten your password to your NBnano and need to reset it, follow the steps below to regain access to your account. You have two options for changing your password: using a reset token or receiving a password reset link via email.

Navigate to the Forgot Password Page

1. Go to the NBNano Portal Login Screen.
   • On the login page, you’ll see the I forgot my password link. Click on this link to begin the process of resetting your password.

2. Choose a Password Reset Option:
   • You have two options to reset your password:
     • Use a Reset Token.
     • Enter your Username or Email to receive a password reset link.

Reset Using a Token

If you choose to reset your password with a token, please follow these steps:

1. Login to Your Personal Portal:
   • Use your registered account (e.g., personal_username.nbnano.io) to log into your personal portal.
   • After logging in, you will see a list of all NBnanos associated with your account.
   • Click on the Actions dropdown menu for the relevant NBnano.
   • Select Create Password Reset Token from the list.
   • 
2. Generate the Token: 
   • Click on Generate and copy the generated key.
   • A reset token will be generated. Note: The reset token is only valid for 1 hour from the time of generation, so make sure to use it promptly.

3. Enter the Reset Token:
   • Go back to the Forgot Password page and enter the generated reset token in the designated field.
   • Click Submit to proceed with the password reset.
4. Create a New Password:
   • You will be prompted to enter a new admin password and to confirm that password. Ensure your new password meets any specified security requirements.

5. Click Submit
   • Your password is now successfully changed! You can now use your new password to log into your account.

Reset Using Username or Email

If you prefer to reset your password using your username or email, follow these steps:

1. Enter Your Username or Email:
   • On the Forgot Password page, enter the username or email address associated with your account.
   • A link to reset your password will be sent to your email address.
   • 
2. Click the Link:
   • Open your email and click on the password reset link. Follow the instructions provided to set a new password.
3. Set a New Password:
   • You will be prompted to create a new password. Ensure that your new password adheres to the required security guidelines.
   • Once your new password is set, you will be redirected to the login page. You can now use your new password to log into your account.
